The Basement

March 23 - Here's the basement wall that will be under the dining room. That's a full sized window on the back wall and a small basement window on the side wall.

March 23 - Here's the back wall of the basement under the family room and morning room.

March 24 - They've framed some of the first floor and put the floor down on the first floor. This is the beam that runs near the back of the house under the family room and morning room. That's about 16 2x6's smashed together forming the support column. The support column is part of a short, but thick, wall.

March 24 - Here you can see the other two beams that run past where the stairs will come down to the basement. They're held up with conventional steel poles.
